about
Sad City, the debut single of Amer-Anglo-Aust post-punk band The Guild (formerly Idle Communists), is a synth driven jam inspired by the early-mid 80s UK post-punk scene, Factory in particular.
The words are of distance, loneliness and escapism, in this story we look at two individuals who have been maimed and done over by the world and the separate societies they live in and seek each other and a locale to finally escape to.
